Step 1: Double Cleanse

What is double cleansing? And when should I do it?

Simply put, it’s cleansing twice, using two different cleansing products one after the other.

The first is a cleansing oil followed by a second cleanser, usually water based. It’s the most important step in our night care routine, and so easy to slot in the routine!

Double cleanse the day away! Start with a cleansing oil to dissolve make-up and the first layer of grime, dirt or oil.

Follow it up with a second wash using a water-based cleanser for to thoroughly remove impurities and leave your skin completely clean and refreshed.

Step 2: Tone Your Skin

At night, why do I need to use a toner again?

It’s really important that you use a toner after every cleansing.

It delivers that quick hit of hydration and preps your pores for the rest of your skincare routine!

After cleansing, use a toner to balance the pH of the skin and tighten pores. It’s also a great way to get your skin ready for the next steps in your night skincare routine.

Look for a toner that is free of alcohol and added fragrances. Simply apply toner to a cotton pad and swipe it over your face, avoiding the eye area.

Step 3: Apply Eye Cream

Should I use eye cream during the day or at night?

There’s no hard and fast rule that eye creams are only for night or day use.

We say, use it morning and evening. Double the benefit!

The skin around your eyes is delicate and requires extra love and care with eye cream. Unlike face cream, eye cream is specially formulated for the eye area and will be easily absorbed by the thin, delicate skin around the eyes. It’s great for reducing the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles.

Simply dab a small amount of eye cream onto your finger and pat it gently around your eye area.

Step 4: Apply Serum

Is applying serum at night good?

Oh, yes. Applying serum at night is really good for your skin because that’s when your skin is taking its beauty rest, and puts all the concentrated actives to good use.

Your next step to a fantastic night care routine after eye cream is a serum.

Packed with concentrated active ingredients targeting specific skin woes, serum is absorbed quickly into the skin and yields dramatic results.

Apply a few drops of serum to your face and neck, and massage it in using upward motions.

Step 5: Moisturise Well

Do I need both serum AND night cream?

They’re the perfect duo! Serums can’t replace moisturisers and moisturisers need the extra-concentrated nutrient boost serums give.

For an effective night face routine, include both!

After applying serum, lock in hydration with a moisturiser to keep your skin looking healthy.

Look for the best moisturiser that’s suitable for your skin type and concerns.

Don’t forget your lips too!

Step 6: Apply Facial Oil (if needed)

Is face oil really necessary?

Not an absolute must, but good to have especially if you have dry skin.

If you have dry or mature skin, you may want to finish your skincare routine with facial oil.

Oils can help moisturise skin, leaving it feeling soft and radiant.

Simply massage a few drops of oil onto your face and neck before bed.
